Firstly I would like to wish everyone good luck on their exams. Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya to all! I must say well done to Shafik and everyone at TB.net for an amazing facelift to the site. Very nice!
A lot has happened since I last blogged. I bought a new car, Siti got married, another idol was crowned and "I Dream" became controversial. Wow, that's quite a while. I guess I owe you a quick summary of the things I've been up to since I last blogged so here goes...
Thank God I finally have my driver's license because some of you might know or have seen me zooming around on my bike before. Finally I bought my very first car. Maybe you'll see me cruising around in it sometimes. I'm pretty happy with my buy and the car looks really swweeeEEEET!
I drove up to KL, even though I had just gotten my driver's license 2 weeks before, with my mum for Siti's wedding. It was a really grand wedding with Ministers and Royalties present. Siti looked amazing in her wedding dress, pretty much like Snow White. Although I could tell she must be really tired by the end of the wedding which ended around 12am, she and husband made it a point to shake hands with every single guest at the door before they left! I find this amazing because we all know the guest list was not a small number! I met a lot of friends there but couldn't stay too long in KL because I had to be back in Singapore the next day for events and recording. That was the first time my mum met Siti, and she was quite pleased and excited.
Back home, it was a vicious cycle of writing, arranging, recording and rehearsals. My sleeping pattern is kinda screwed right now, sleeping at 5am and waking up at 10am but it's all worth it. I'm enjoying the whole process of making this album and I promise after October, you will see and hear more of me.
Performing at the Indoor Stadium again was very nostalgic. Thank you for your warm welcome and undying support for me. I felt right at home! I can't believe it's been two years already. Time really flies. I hope you will support all of the talents regardless. Hope you had as much fun as I did.
Recently there has been controversy surrounding our song "I Dream". It is still our song no matter what and it's best to move on and not dread on the subject. I promise you we have more to look forward to and this will not dampen our spirits. Thank you for all of your love and support!
I'm sure you've heard of Hype and Starhub's new collaboration for exclusive digital downloads of my songs. I'm really excited about this. Now you don't even have to wait for my album's release. You can simply download my new songs to your phone! These songs are exclusive and it won't be on the album. It's like there will be an overdose of my songs once my album drops! Hype Up concert is coming up and it's gonna be a blast. Hope you got your tickets because it's definitely gonna be a night to remember. For my Muslim fans, let's make it a double celebration night of Hari Raya with your family and watching your favourite Idols coming together on one big stage like never before! There are some surprises in store so you wouldn't wanna miss it!
Lastly I wish to thank you all for always being there thru my ups and downs. I really miss you a lot. It's been a ride and we've only just begun. I'll see you soon, peace.
