Then: Thanks to his renditions of songs like Me and Mrs Jones on Season One in 2004, Taufik became known as Singapore Idol's soul man. He went up against rocker Sylvester Sim in the finals and won 682,000 of the 1.1million votes cast.
Now: He released his fourth album which he sung entirely in Malay last year. He got five nominations at this year's Anugerah Planet Music Awards, a Malay music-awards show.
