FIKNATIC is the first Singapore Idol, Taufik Batisah's official fan club. It is initiated and endorsed by ArtisteNetworks of Hype Records, which manages him. By working closely with Taufik as well as ArtisteNetworks, the official website TaufikBatisah.net, provides fans with exclusive information and latest first-hand updates on him.
The official website and fan club evolved from the personal blog that of Razlan Manjaji. During Singapore Idol days, his blog had managed to court a small following of Taufik supporters. It has since blossomed into the Hitwise award-winning website that it is today, generating more than 8.5 million page hits within the first year of conception and is now seen as THE home for Fiknatics on the World Wide Web.
In true Idol fashion, the name of the fan club was selected by votes from fans. Fans had been invited to contribute originative names to launch the fan club. From there, Taufik personally shortlisted five names of which included the likes of Fiked-Out, Simply Taufik, Get Taufik-ed, etc.
In the end, "Fiknatic", which was thought up by Rizal Issac, garnered a resounding 50.6% of the votes to become the name of Taufik's fan club.
Spearheading various projects such as the launch of the official fan club tee, and organizing official birthday bashes for Taufik, the fan club is also the biggest avenue for fans of Taufik to unite, stay passionate, supportive and as we term it, SIMPLY FIKNATIC.
